The Greater Chicago Food Depository is on pace to distribute a record total of food in 2010.
This achievement is a bittersweet one, however. Although the Food Depository and its member agencies (food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters) have been able to keep up with the demand, they need help now more than ever.
The increase in distribution reflects the need–more and more Chicagoans are turning to the Food Depository member agencies for assistance.
To help them meet the rising demand and support member agencies, you too can participate by joining in the 25th Annual Hunger Walk on June 26, 2010, at Solider Field in Chicago or make a donation
