John Starr Executive Producer

This photo is that last picture in the "Rumba Man" photo story that I created as a tribute to John Starr after he died September 2, 2006. John enjoyed my photos and was very encouraging to me in my photographic career. John was more than my brother-in-law, he was my dear friend.
The Unholy Three, Bill – Fred – John / THE STARR BROTHERS have ALWAYS been instrumental and a powerful force in the Chicago music community, as supporters, promoters, producers and players. After John died, Fred spearheaded an effort to KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE in John’s name. With the encouragement and support of brother Bill, Fred founded the Chicago Studio Club. Fred and Bill are still creating and working away on the very same mission.
CHICAGO STUDIO CLUB is a continuation of John Starr’s STUDIO LIVE. If you are a musician, tech expert, sound engineer, club owner / worker, have website-working experience, computer skills, or you would just enjoy being a supporting member of a community effort to KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE, speak up!

In memory of John Starr . . . we love and miss him dearly.
